Well let me tell you that I can not wait until my lease is up. I have stayed in a lot of places before and this is second to the worse. This complex does have elderly people and partiers mixed with families w/ kids and people that just smoke heavily all mixed in buildings 2-gether. Instead of sectioning it off to bldgs that have this certain group and others in this certain bldg. we all have to be mixed with each other. My rent is too much for the size of this place, the pipes are as old as a brothel in Vegas! You can here your neighbor above pissing in the toilet (if he is a man). The heat and air conditioning are all old school. Air conditioning here is: a window air conditioning that makes a lot of noise and sticks out so far in your livingroom that it takes up living space and that doesn't work for the whole aprtment. The heat is a floor vent that tick tick ticks when you 1st turn it own. The front glass doors keep getting shattered' The class of people that are in here are not your average working class, I say that because they stay up hollaring, fussing, and cursing at 2-3 in the morning. Maintenance is alright, but I only need them once or twice a year. The manager is alright too, but too nice- like everything will be ok...no it wont when this is wrong or that is going wrong. The smells in the hallway are nauseating- smell like curry and booty. The laundry room is okay only because there are plenty of each- but it is nasty in there too! No I am not going to any parties sorry the activity director is hormonally crazy! Can you say "Prozac" ladies and gents' The police are always in our complex and this place is only the size of the hotel that is in front of the complex, so someone can get you from over there and be gone or your child! There's a play area in the back close to the woods, but a little boy found a dead body back there- i think he was a "make make crack like this" A crack head....is what I'm saying. Try other places in Belleville 1st I have stayed in them before...like Westlake and Southport.

Just to be fair, you can not section off certain buildings for differant types of people or because of familial status. That is called steering and is illegal. The only exception to that is regarding pets. It is legal to have "pet buildings".

The dead young man in the back yard was not a crack head. In fact I knew one of the young men involved in the incident. They had some kind of beef with each other and a few of them were mentally unstable. He was just some poor kid around 20 years old that got jumped for next to no reason. Don't make ignorant assumptions. His murder was not drug related.

If you don't like smokers, move to California I'm sure that you can find a non smoking building there. You chose to move in here before investigating so quit your whining. It's not the best place to live anymore because of the "recent" class of people but who is to judge anyone by the way they look
