Of the reviews that say the apartment is tiny, I've just moved from a place in which I had to cram 2 children into a very small room. The living room is great, can adequitely fit a dining area and all living room furniture with plenty of room for the kids to play. The bedroom the children share is adequite and the master bedroom is big enough to fit 3 king size beds and still have walking room. I love our bedroom. The set up of the bathroom is awkward, but works just fine. The kitchen is quite small, but with the bar area it opens right up. I don't enjoy the smells in the hallways as others have stated, and I can't say that I feel safe ever leaving my door unlocked, even just to go down the hallway to get the mail. I've heard screaming outside more than once and have heard a few domestic fights (unknown if they were violent or not) when walking down the hallway. Given, there are several apartments in this complex, and it is extremely culturally divided. You couldn't expect more from such a diverse and populated area. There are many people living in these apartments, and it should be expected that 1 out of 50 people / residents are going to be troublesome. I've seen all ages and types in and out of these apartments, although it has been quite hard to make friends. Most people don't want to smile or talk, although a few say 'hi' when you greet them first. The office staff is very nice, but sometimes I wonder if they are just this nice to cover up the slightly dangerous feeling this little area gives you, hoping you will rent the apartment anyway. Overall, I am happy, and it's much better than living in Ypsilanti, which is where we first wanted to move before we saw the crime rate. I'm glad we moved here, only 10 minutes from Ypsi where my husband works, but still plenty far away from Detroit or Ypsi, which are actually dangerous and not just 'a little scary'.

I'm sorry, but you are nuts. I've been here for almost 2 years - there's not even a hint of this place being unsafe. If you live in an apartment complex, the hallways aren't going to be perfect, and yes, there will be people around! If you can't handle those things, get a house. This is the best apartment complex I've lived in!
