We have been living in Westlake for a year now, at first we thought that we were very lucky finding a nice place but, after the first month, we realized what was really going on.
Maintenance never comes when you need them, no matter how many times we called the office. Dishwasher, carpet, bathroom, washer and dryer, nothing gets fixed early
On top of all that, all my neighbors cars keep getting stolen or broken into, and the office refuses to acknowledge any of it. I guess it's too bad if you don't have full insurance...! Every morning we hope that our car is still in the parking lot, not broken into. They charge you a lot of money to live here, and they treat you like crap. We are actually moving out of this mess.
If you are thinking of moving here, get full insurance on everything you have.
And pray a lot that no one try to steal your car...
And we don't have a dumpster anymore either, Westlake says that they want to save money, and in the same time, rent is going up. So now we have to walk forever to throw your trash away.
I notice silver fish too; they hang out on the ceiling and walk all over the apartment.
I wish that the office were a little more honest, they act very unconcerned when you have issues, except Mike, he seems to be the only one who cares...He should replace Pat and become the new manager.
Maybe the other people there should learn something from him....
Oh yeah, one more thing, parking issues... Everyone seems to have more than 2 cars, because at night it's very hard to find a parking spot. So you have to park in crazy spot, even by the handicap, on the yellow lines. (Yes I know it s wrong, but everyone was doing it.)
And I got a ticket for doing that one time, I stop there to drop off groceries, and my baby was sleeping so I took him inside too, and by the time I came back to the car,( 2min ), there was a cop writing me a 100$ ticket even when I explained to him that I was there for just a minute, I wasn't going to park there, and the car was still running too.
But the next days, guess who's car was park in the same spot, my neighbor, who is a cop too (what a coincidence). And he never got a ticket, and got away with parking in handicap even he s not one....
So yeah, I hate it here...
