We have been living here since March of 06 and I haven't had the same problems with Maintenence taking forever or not fixing my problems. We haven't had that much go wrong though. We were notified on our move in date-that we were being charged $10 extra a month for a "window seat" which is really nothing of the sort. The silverfish in the apartment are so out of control, it's embarrassing. Even on the second floor! Also, with the cheap ass paint they use, when you kill one, you have a disgusting mark on your wall FOREVER! We also received a warning letter from Westlake/Van Buren police dept. about someone knocking on doors pretending they were looking for someone and then breaking into apartments when no one answered the door. A few weeks later, it happened to us, and we saw the man knocking on almost every other door in our building. We immediately called the office and they were VERY unconcerned and acted like they had no clue what I was talking about. We then called the police and they were extremely happy that we had wrote down the man's license plate number and confirmed that this was indeed an issue in our area. It wouldn't hurt for them to hire a few smart people in the office. The trash issue with the dumpsters makes me SO glad to be leaving! Who makes their residents hike their trash all the way to the front of the complex!'!'! I like a few of our neighbors,but others have kids that they let run wild in the complex. With 2 small children, this place has gotten out of hand even from when we have moved in. I now honestly would not recommend it to anyone.
