The curb appeal is poor. The exterior looks old. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the inside. The interior seems to be renovated. Kitchen has newer appliances. It even has a dishwasher, which is nice. Bedrooms are fairly large; quite a bit of closet space. Bathroom has a two sink vanity with ample drawers/cabinets. Poor water pressure in the shower. Downfalls of the apartment are: no central air (air conditioning); laundry is in the basement ($1.25 to wash clothes & $1.25 to dry), which is a pain; parking lot needs to be repaved; noise is a problem...I lived on the bottom floor and the people above were really loud. Overall, it's not a bad option for what is available in Big Rapids. The only other places in BR that are better are Tioga, Venlo, University Park Suites, Oakwood, Riverbend, and Rivertown; but they don't have 2 bedroom apartments, except Tioga (which is quite expensive)...I think the monthly rent at Walnut Knoll is overpriced, but so is every other apartment complex...it's quite sad college students have to pay that much, but what is one to do...
