The staff is extremely rude and nosey. The light outside my builing in parking lot have been out since I moved in. I feel like they have cameras inside my apartment and and are watching my every move. I am very unsatisfied. They allow pets but you better buy a muzzle and a pet sitter and dont think that anyone other than you can walk it... You'll hear all about it... Beacuse they will charge you extra montly but they are not allowed to bark at all. My dog never barks but although he is not home alone ever buecause I have a dog sitter... The staff still claim to hear him although he is not there... Amazing... The first week I moved in my gas was shut off, and although this is considered a emergency in the lease I was told that it could wait.. When DTE came back they said it was due to the apartments inability to label the boxes correctly... The laundry room had four broken machines the first time I went in there. Mind you there are only six. I notified the office. When I went back a week later still broken. I havent been back. So as you can See I have had nothing but problems here.... I'd suggest some place that treats all there tenants equally....

Hmmm something sounds wrong with your rating. I had gone there a couple times to talk, look and decide if I was going to take an apt there. I found the staff there to be more helpful and polite than most places. Everyone was very professional. I'm 99.99% sure that they didn't put any cameras inside your apartment (cause that would be illegal), and surely aren't watching your every move. There is something that you're not telling, and it seems more of a personal thing than anything else. There is no way that dogs aren't allowed to bark, and why would they care who walked your dog? Yes, most places have pet rent, as they do there. You would have known that upfront, before you signed your lease. And, if you have enough money to pay a pet sitter to be with your dog all day, then pet rent shouldn't be a problem. When I was there to look around, they didn't let me see the apartment that would be mine (cause they said that they were doing the construction/painting/carpeting, and they don't let people see if it's not done). That was one of the reasons at the time that I decided not to rent there. I wanted to see my apt. before I signed a lease. Did you see your apartment before? Did you have to put in any maintenance requests? Were you the first tenant in that apartment? You didn't mention how long you'd lived there, so I'm not sure how long the light outside of your building has been out. Sometimes places need to order parts and/or priorities can change (depending on what else is going on). Maybe they don't have enough maintenance people to do the work? If you can give more specific information about say, utilities, noise (like can you hear your neighbors walking around/talking, tv/music). What you said about the washers being broken was good to know. Ohh, maybe others have done a noise complaint on you, and that's why you're angry. Anyway, if you're willing to share information about some other things... thanks in advance. If not, hope things got better for you there.

I think you are full of B.S., and you should probably just move! Bye bye!

I'm sure the staff appear to be polite and helpful! They want you to buy their product!? But rest assured, it is the opinion of more than just one disgruntled renter that they are in fact, rude and nosey unless you are one of their "friends" who hang around the office gossiping about other renters. As for the condition of the complex. The lights haven't been fixed since I've lived here (going on two years). In addition, the "state of the art fitness room" has 3 of the 5 machines in working order. They have not been fixed in over a year!! The "business office" has only one working computer. The bathrooms in the "convenient clubhouse" are always locked (apparently because someone made a mess and didn't clean it up). The trees and flowers were dead all summer this year.. and finally replaced last month. The noise level is very high... kids and adults talking, yelling, playing car radios at all hours of the night. This looks like a nice place, but for the amount of money you pay in rent, I would not recommend it at all.

Thanks much for your answers, and I'm glad that I was able to read it before making a mistake. I'm not aware of a Preston Pointe in Taylor, did you mean another apartment complex?

I was the one who posted the first review. I actually did know I was paying extra monthly for my dog to live there they just didnt notify me that He would need a muzzle. Two apartments down from they had constant barking dogs and for some reason they always thought it was mine, though my dog was always taken to my mothers while i worked. After i wrote this first review I also had trouble with my front door lock. I tried calling the office there several times and they send you straight to their voice mail. no answer ever. When My front door lock finally broke I was locked in my house for two hours before anyone from the office answered the phone. It made me even more upset when the maitenance guy told me it was a common problem with the locks on the doors there. YOu would think they would replace the faulty locks to prevent the problem. This made me two hours late for work one day. The office staff rudely said they send their calls straight to the voice mail when they are busy.... Needless to say I moved from that hell hole. I ended my lease early, I was not the first tendant in my unit and my electric and gas bill in my 2000 sq foot home is less than half of waht we paid there a month.. The insulation must have been really bad, our gas bill was sometimes 260 for a 750 sq apartment where you got to hear you teenage neighbors scream at eachother in the parking lot every night... The one and only time I tried using one of the computers there it didnt work, When I tried using the gym facility there Most were broken, A lady in my building used to tie her dog up to a rope on her porch and the it walk around alone and never pick up its messes. I didnt hear my neighbors much unless they were screaming though they did that often ;) Good luck to all who make the mistake of renting here. I would reccommend Preston Pointe in Taylor they are wonderful...
