I really enjoy living at Byron Lakes. I noticed many other reviews complain of noise from the neighbors- When I moved in I specifically requested a 3rd floor end apartment and can't hear anyone below me, and rarely hear noise from the TV next door when it gets loud. Nothing I consider a big deal. I'm really happy I spent a little extra money to get a good apartment.
I absolutely LOVE my particular apartment. The end apartments have extra space in the living area and additional windows in the kitchen and bathroom. I also receive a lot of light from the sliders and the additional window above the sliders that I have from being on the 3rd floor. The buildings are spaced apart nicely and seem to be well maintained. The maintenance requests I've placed so far have been fixed within hours and I received follow up calls from staff to ensure I was pleased.
The community itself is pleasant. Seems like most keep to themselves. It is only 1 mile from the US-131/M-6 interchange and is wonderfully quiet!
Gas for heat and cooking are included in rent, and full size washers & dryers are in every apartment. My electric runs about $25 a month depending on how many lights I forget to turn off!
