Been there a while but happy to be leaving

I've lived here over three years and it hasn't been bad for three years but there is nothing but negative impressions from me by this time. And I'm sorry to break ----'s heart and all her alter egos that are writing reviews just to shill for her, but the complex has gone down in a big way with the ownership/mgmt change.
First, the grounds--garbage everywhere, all the time. Just because it's no longer grass cutting season we residents are expected to live with unkept grounds' As others have concluded the snow removal was terrible this Winter. I don't care if there was a heavy snowfall season you (mgmt) are paid to remove the snow and make the grounds safe and failed miserably but I'm sure you saved a buck on that Mickey Mouse company you contracted with. And here's an idea, how about spreading some mulch around the apartments instead of the clubhouse and the pond. Complex looks nice from Lotz but meanwhile all the plants away from passerby traffic are dying.
Second the rates aren't/weren't good. At the expiration of my most recent lease I was offered the chance to renew a 1400/mo. Uh yeah, maybe they didn't notice the complete collapse of the housing market in the area. So I went month to month while house hunting. Then that option was removed but suddenly I was offered a 6 mo lease at 1250/mo. Sorry too little way too late. (Any idea what kinda house you can get in Canton at 1250/mo by the way')
Third mgmts threats about parking--please. The storage is terrible in these apartments so if you have multiple people in a unit you'll need the garage for storage. But they threaten you if you don't park in the garage. Goodness what would a 2 car household do' Well pretend that I am a 2 car household and the other car is in the garage if it makes you feel better. And the threats to move cars or else be towed meanwhile a car sat in December/January unmoved and buried under snow for about 5 weeks blocking up one of the worst parking areas in the complex and I never saw the tow truck. Add to that the two other spots blocked off with "cleared snow" by the before mentioned Mickey Mouse snow removal company and I spent everyday taking a long hike to the car.
Utilities are high like everyone says. If you back to the woods you can't even open the doorwall or windows because of 275 so bear that in mind if shown those units. Carpet is cheap and the paint is as well to either get ready to do some scrubbing or kiss the security deposit good bye. And it is noisy. Tough luck for my neighbors that I'm the one with small kids but hey small kids make noise, it's there job. I try to keep them quiet to not interfere to much with other's lives but it ain't our fault that nobody considered sound reduction on interior walls.
The redbrick buildings look nice when you first seem them from the outside but be careful. You'll spend your time inside the place wishing you had storage, wishing you had a dining area besides your living room, wishing you couldn't hear the neighbor's TV, wondering why you're cold with the thermostat set at 75. The only time you'll really see the buildings once you live here is when you're taking the long walk from the nearest available parking spot you could find.
