I have lived at Meadowood for a couple of years. One of the worst things about them is that they do not care about residents safety when it comes to snow removal. If it snows or there is an ice storm on the weekend - they will not do anything about it until Monday afternoon.
Not once did they have the snow or ice taken care of by the time I had to leave my place. They usually get around to clearing it at 3:00 in the afternoon. I live in the one bedroom apartments and there are a number of older ladies living there who have health issues. I don't see how they can leave their apartment in the winter with the horrible snow removal! This winter there was ice on the sidewalk for over 3 weeks! I have fallen 3 times myself on the sidewalks and my porch.
ALSO - my car has been vandalized over 3 times. There were things stolen out of it, the antenna was ripped off, and my sideview mirrors were broken when someone threw rocks at my car. It is obvious that the people who live there do not watch over their teenage kids. Reporting problems like this don't help you either. The management does not seem to care if people are falling down on the sidewalks or their cars are being vandalized.
Recently they have also decided that no one can put borders or other things in their flower gardens. They want a "uniform" appearance - which to me means "DULL". People before had beautiful borders and other lawn items to make the front of their apartment beautiful but the management is not allowing people to individualize their apartments anymore.
And - if you don't have your own washer and dryer - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THEIR LAUNDRY FACILITIES! While using the laundry room - I felt unsafe. The laundry room is always dirty and often the machines themselves are dirty inside and out. The dryers don't work well. Most of the time they will not dry a half load of laundry with in one cycle. Many, many, many times I put money in the machines and one hour later the laundry was not even slightly dry. Many times I put my money in the dryer and it did not work!!! I became so frustrated that I finally bought my own washer and dryer to not have the hassle.

Interesting review - thanks. I moved out of Meadowood in summer 2007 after staying there a year. Towards the end of my lease, the kids-hanging-around problem seemed to start. Judging by your review, it seems like the problem has gotten a bit worse.

The snow plow truck spents more time parked in front of the office in the way, then it does plowing snow.
