Life at Eastwood Village Apartments in Clinton Township, MI

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
I have lived in 4 apartment complexes in Madison Heights, Sterlings Heights, Grosse Pointe Woods and finally Eastwood Village Apartments in Clinton Township. I visited 3 communities managed by Paragon Properties in the same area. I chose Eastwood Village because of the apartment layout, size and the serene location. I have lived here for 2 years and loved every minute of it.
I am relocating to a southern state, because of Michigans long winters. If I ever return to Michigan, I would move back to Eastwood Village Apartments.
The complex has been a true retreat for me. I was in an auto accident last summer and spent the summer in a wheelchair. Thank goodness I lived in a first floor apartment, which made tranporting easier for me, but I needed some adjustments to make my apartment accesible. The maintenance man installed a new shower sprayer I purchased so I could shower sitting down. Though that was small in effort, it meant the world to me.
I have been homebound for a year and have firsthand been able to witness the continous efforts of the staff at Eastwood Village. The weekly housekeeping to keep corridors and laundry rooms free of debris and dust, makes you feel like you have your own personal housekeeper. The grounds are manicured weekly without delay during spring, summer and fall months. The maintenance crews diligently remove the snow from each and every walkway during the winter months as needed to ensure our safety. In addition to the staff, the property manager has consistently made improvements throughout the community. Last summer the carports were cleaned and painted, also the hallways were painted and new carpeting was installed. This spring the parking lot was repaved, the balcony support beams were replaced and painted. They also have added security to cruise the parking lot. There is comfort in knowing that management takes pride in the property, so the rental cost is worth it.
Kim Calvert the property manager, is phenonemal. She is strictly business professional, but very personable and compassionate. Kim is always available when you need her. Anytime I visit the clubhouse she is always there. Behind every great manager is a great staff, which builds a great community to call your new home.
Thank you for a wonderful 2 years.
Ms. Beasley
