if you never go outside or never stay home: "eh" at best . . .

uh, I (being a completely different resident) ALWAYS pay on time & farmbrook IS a freakin' dump . . . it's crazy . . . do not move here . . . it's not QUITE as bad as this dude's making it sound (in fact the pool has been fixed up quite nicely - if you don't mind swimming with the all-day-saggy-diaper crowd) BUT IT IS BAD . . .
the grass is mowed too early in the year and too late too . . . way before and well after there is any kind of growth and the edging is done weekly even those there is no over hanging thatch anywhere and all growth of any kind is purposely killed by the weed-wacker guys to form a two to three foot wide boundary of dust around all buildings most of the non-main sidewalks (leading to residents doors, etc.) and the long fence that bounds the east end of the complex grounds) - i.e. don't be out on a windy day . . . and then too there's the attractive three foot high splash rim stain of mud that is left at the base of most all of the buildings from the rain ricocheting out of said dust/mud . . .
then there's the oft mentioned kitchen floodings, pipe-bursting, scratchy phone-lines and short-ful wiring (that blows bulbs at an infuriating pace) . . .
oh, and the day and night (no lie/no joke: literally ten times a day MINIMUM car alarm 'trips' - though strangely there's rarely ever been any major crime problems just a lot of paranoia probably reinforced by all the hoodlums that 'control' various spots throughout the complex for weeks at a time, mostly just glaring at whoever and "flexin'" and acting "hawd" and leaving their (usually) t. bell and/or white castle wrapp0ers, bags and cups on all sides of their departing cars when they're done "smoking down"/etc. - NOT APPEALING) . . .
oo! oo! and my favorite: the neighborhood kids primary pastime (when their not shucking their duties of taking out the garbage by throwing their bags at the bins (and almost invariably MISSING the mark and leaving the contents blowing down the street) which reek to high heaven in any amount of heat) and come home and just wash their dang hands) - again my favorite:
SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER ALL DAY LONG . . . no game, no rhyme or reason involved, no parents, no direction, no parks anywhere's near by (the attempt at reserving the bigger 'kids' basketball nets has resulted in those being smashed to bits and bits ripped to pieces in a matter of months - they were finally just sent to the landfill) . . .
anyway: SCREAMING . . . from about ten or eleven a.m. to about the same p.m. . . . from mid june (yey!) to late august and most afternoons the rest of the year so long as it's not bitterly cold, but sometimes then too albeit briefly . . . FOR THE PAST FIVE OR SIX YEARS I KNOW OF!!!
(and, to be fair, there are occasionally spans of a two or three days were things are semi-calm, depending on whose vacated or been tossed out along with their stuff - all over the lawn for days or weeks - a less frequent site as the general state of the place veers towards PERPETUAL vacancy dominance) . . .
it's particularly charming when they are competing for volume supremacy with the freight train that screeches, growls, rumbles and "whistles" across 16 mile road along adjacent groesbeck about nine times a day day and night . . . briefly dampening the incessant hum of traffic on those roads at least . . .
IT"S NOT ALL BAD . . .
the new management and maintenance drew are both at least TRYING especially compared to the previous ship-wreck captains . . . but it seems to be a losing battle all together . . . sorry . . .
i guess i must say too: combined, practically, non-stop visits from the police and fire and ambulance crews . . . domestic dispute-ago-go . . . :[

okay but you lived here for 5 years and you still don't mind living here, yes the pool has been updated but it's still nothing for the kids to do and where do you live because it's nice and quite most of the time where I am at, not that much trash but they do need some big adjustments I think depending on where you live it there is alot of children it can be different They should request where there is not a lot of children we did another thing yes the train is crazy all types of nights here it comes and yes traffic can be horrible so go out the back way Farmbrook is an okay place to stay but there not estates and not as ghetto as they could be like other townhomes in the area it's okay to stay if it's a starter home |
