There is a laundry list of things wrong with this apartment complex, but I'll keep it basic.

1. The aimless wandering of the unguided children: The parents (not all, but most) have no sort of guidance for their children whatsoever. At one point in time in summer 2007, the children were going around flattening random tires, breaking the windows and slitting screens to townshomes. To make matters worse, management did absolutely nothing about it! Clinton Twp PD have to constantly roam the grounds because at least once a week there are complaints of errant children (an sometimes parents) breaking the law.

2. No enforcement of rules outlined in the lease: When I first moved in, I was given several rules and no-nos. One of which was NO congregating in large groups. Not only do the children do this, but adults do as well. Also, while it wasn't explicitly outlined in the lease agreement, I'm sure outdoor sex is strictly forbidden as well, but you can bet your bottom dollar I've seen CHILDREN (not adults) engaging in this activity outdoors.

3. Lackadaisical maintenance: There are a number of things wrong with my apartment that have not been repaired since I moved in almost 2 years ago. You name it: holes beneath the carpet, ceiling dripping water, appliances not working. When you call the maintenance to fix the problems, if they can't blame it on you, they just don't bother to fix it altogether!

Bottom line: If you like increasing rent for decreasing quality, OR if you are about to be evicted from your current home tomorrow OR if you live to argue with parents incessantly about their children destroying YOUR property, then Farmbrook is for you.

To those looking into renting a townhome from Farmbrook: please take heed to all of these negative ratings, if you are hardworking and want a decent life for your family, then I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. I know when my lease expires, I am out of here!
