The same thing happened to me. In fact I didn't have any children, and no one came to visit me because I was so far away from family. I'd like to know what they view stains to be, because my carpet was spotless. I worked full time and was in school full time, which gave me little time to enjoy the apartment. Second, I was very animate about my fear of cats. They never enforced the rule of keeping your pets indoors. I had classmates, co-workers and friends, driving out of their way (Including leaving work) just to walk me into my apartment. There would be at least four cats at a time waiting inside and outside of the building. How RUDE.....But I never saw a dime of my security deposit.
