This is my second stay at Lakeside Village Apartments, my first apartment here was in Fall of 04' with a roommate and it was a great experience. I moved out as my roommate and I were going our separate ways, lived at 3 other communities, all were a waste, and ended up moving back here in Fall of 07. I love my apartment, very open floor plan, 1200 sqft, i'm on the first floor with a flat screen TV mounted on the wall and beautiful furniture and never had a worry about security as some people have mentioned, I've never experienced a bit of trouble. I'm in a building with dogs, but everyone seems to pick up what the pets leave behind and its extremely quiet, the only thing i hear is my upstairs neighbor when he shuts his doorwall, other than that its darn near silent. The special I moved in at was an unbeatable deal and I've looked almost everywhere in Oakland and Macomb and couldn't beat it.

When I toured the property the staff member that assisted me knew the property and found exactly what i was looking for, my apartment was almost completely spotless and had brand new carpet in it that i didn't have to pay extra for. I bought a lighting package and two accent walls and i can't tell you how much it brightened up the apartment. Its my first apartment with washer and dryer in it as well, and I will never go back to shared laundry again, makes it so simple. I've had a couple maintenance issues, nothing out of the ordinary if you've EVER lived in an apartment and the maintenance people were out the next day in the afternoon, that quickly for just a closet door coming off the track. Any time i've been in the office to pay my rent the staff has been very courteous, i don't think people realize how large this community is and how many people must come into the office, especially around the first of the month when everyone pays their rent, there had to be about 12 people in there when i paid last, but they take the payments really fast and with a smile. Its like anywhere else, sometimes you have to wait and stand in line, deal with it.

I read a review from someone that was mad about the repaving, which I laughed about, there were some large potholes in that area and i was happy to see them fixed, who cares if you're inconvienced for a few days, its completely worth it. I walk around the property quite often for exercise, day and night, and was happy to not have to walk around any of the potholes.

I'd recommend this community to anyone, its well kept, huge apartments and really good prices. The staff has always addressed my issues and been very timely about it. Great place to rent!!

Hey, idiot first of all I'm married second I have never lived here prior to this time third I moved in here in January of 07 four I don't work for Paragon, five I owned a home till my health went down and had to get something that I didn't have to maintain. further more I never had a roommate I have been married 12 years.If your going to comment on something get your facts straight and ---- together and at least have the decency to cough up who you are.

whoa...why are people on my posting??...no need to get nasty here...i'm the one who posted the review and i don't work for lakeside village at all, i work for EMC doing work for GM, EDS and a few others...i don't appreciate the second person posting here, acting as if they had created this review because this was my experience not theirs. so before any accusations are made, perhaps getting the facts straight may assist you in your silly plight against an apartment community.i enjoyed my time and am currently enjoying my time here, thats what this website is for, PERSONAL REVIEWS, whether good or bad, not for the blogging of some disgruntled ex-employee to rant about how bad the place is, its up to each individual to form an opinion based on their own experiences, you don't live there, you don't work there anymore, MOVE ON BROTHER...lol...and perhaps chew Valarian root, helps calm the nerves...peace...
