Pros: Grounds well kept, ample parking unless you or neighbors are having parties all the time, etc.

Security seems nice with gate but wouldn't really stop a criminal or problem spouse.
Can't comment on pool and such amenities but there are comments on this in others' posts.

Nice and quiet (in our case) seems like a retirement community. Rarely see anyone walking around - especially devoid of kids. Duck pond as centerpiece to complex looks nice and is good for taking walks.

Our building seems empty of other residents most of the time. Those that moved in our building didn't stay long for whatever reason. So although it is quiet for us, the walls are not very soundproof and you can hear clearly things like a person closing a bedroom dresser drawer in the next apt. for example. Semi-loud music travels well across the entire area.

Cons: High ceilings look nice but lots of wasted potential storage and living space. Also since heat rises, so does your heating bill.

Have had lots of electrical problems with circuit breakers. Our garage is unfinished with drywall half-done and messy.

One small porch light per 2 dwellings which burns out occasionally. Not sure if it is controlled by neighbor, management or a light timer, LOL.

Perhaps our main complaint is the "super-cheapness' of the kitchen appliances and sink. The refrigerator looks like it was the bottom of the line in terms of quality and price by the manufacturer. Also all the appliances look OLDER than the building. Stove not quite as bad as refrig. Sink is very small stainless steel with no sprayer attachment and irritating to use.

Dishwasher is super-cheapo, again it's the bottom of the product line as well as small, worn out and falling apart. Garbage disposal worn out and jams all the time. Kitchen needs all new fixtures and appliances.

Washer and dryer are adequate but very old and peeling several layers of paint jobs or so it appears. Pipes under bathroom sinks are cheap and shoddy and recess into the wall through holes that look like they were made by The 3 Stooges with pick-axes.

OVERVIEW: Fancy facades on the grounds and most of the buildings are in contrast to some of the cost-saving features of the interiors of the units. If you have noisy neighbors you are basically going to suffer a great deal.
We were told the by management walls were well sound-proofed which is definitely NOT TRUE! We happen to be lucky so far because we have few to no neighbors currently.

If you know or can hire a building inspector or contractor have them check out a unit before you decide.

I agree, the appliances are the bottom of the barrel. Cheap GE appliances. Washer and dryer both too small. Faucets and sinks are Home Depot specials. CHEAP. The towel bars are the cheapest you can find at Lowes!
