The management is just a pain. If you're 50 , the woman in the office probably won't have a grudge already set against you because you're "noisy and rude", but anyone else, she'll try to get you kicked out of living there before you even write out your first rent check.

In the 3 years I lived there, the water heater has had to be replaced 3 times, the drier has broken 2 times (and was never replaced, just temporarily fixed), the drain for the bathtub wouldn't drain well at all, and the garage door broke.

The doors are of poor quality, as are the old windows, leaving my apartment with a high energy bill during the more extreme months.

The traffic from the school isn't horrible most the time, though, if you have to get anywhere from 645AM to 725AM in the morning or from 215PM to 245PM in the afternoon, you'd get there faster if you walked.

Though having older neighbors is nice, they can get quite nosy. My neighbor while living there would try to get into my garage, and would appear out of nowhere and try to see what I was doing at the time. There was one time where I was standing outside with a few of my friends talking on a nice day, and one of my neighbors called the management on us because we were just standing there.

When a neighbor is moving, parking gets horrible. Usually a moving truck and an extra car make it nearly impossible to park in my own garage.

Although there are many troubles, the apartments themselves are nice. The one I lived in had a beautiful layout, though the kitchen was a bit small. All the rooms are on the larger side, except for the kitchen. It's also great to have a pool during the summer and a whirlpool you can access almost anytime.

I'm not trying to say you're wrong, but just curious...If you didn't like it so much then why did you continue living there for 3 years?
