Okay I heard alot of good things and bad things, I'm really really interested in this place. Though I hear that there is alot of older people that live here that usally like to complain is this true' Also is the parking really bad, by the pictures and I also drove by them it looks really bad.

Now the rent I hear is the biggiest thing, why in the world will they raise your rent in a year, does everyone's rent get raised' Also how is the Heat bills here is it really high'

If there is anything else that anyone can tell me about this place I would really love to hear I plan to be moving in late March of 09 and I feel you get the most for your money at this place 2Bedrooms and Garage for $690 sounds to good to be true... IS IT'!'!'

The ratings I put down are the ones I read off of other people and just pushed them all together.

I had a 2 bedroom corner unit. For the most part, I could only hear someone if they were walking up the steps, and if I was in the kitchen or laundry room. I never heard much in the living room nor in the two bedrooms. There were two problems I had with someone running a fan in their garage that resonated up to the master bedroom, and with another running a treadmill at 4am that sounded like pounding. Both problems were remedied quickly though. Utilities were pretty decent, although in my particular unit I had to keep the A/C on a tad colder and keep the shades closed much of the time, otherwise the sun blasted it. It was nice in the winter though! Rent does jump up after a year and then the 3rd year. This is unusual compared to other apartment complexes. I started at $710, went to $810, and then $840 (although it was in fact supposed to be $910, the "normal" rental rate). Security deposit is 1 1/2 times the REGULAR rent (1.5*910 = $1365), the maximum permitted by Michigan law.

Thanks I posted early in the year about moving here, I was just wondering if anyone else had any other good information about this place. I'm 50/50 on this place so if anyone else can shine some more light that would be great!

March 4 2004 there was a big shooting in manors at knollwood and major drug bust. A man named Roy Walker got shot in both legs & busted with over 100 lbs of marijuana & 2 weeks later a major drug dealer Tommie Hodges was arrested in there by the feds! It was all on the news and in the news papers.
