Riverside Village Apartments
AVERAGE RATING

I was very cautious moving in to Riverside Village. I read reviews on here...and really I was cautious. I came to check it out for myself. I looked at an apartment and it was beautiful. I spent close to 3 hours talking to 2 staff and my grandparents about my concerns. They took their time talking to me... and addressing any and all issues I had. After that I decided to take a chance and was fully ready to go if anything may have happened since it was only my son and me living here. I moved in May of this year honestly expecting the worst and barely unpacked. Finally its September and here I am fully unpacked and so happy I moved in. I have absolutely NO problems what so ever. Office staff are friendly and helpful. Maintenance are here within the hour I call. When I report a problem I am asked if there is permission to enter and then maintenance calls before they come.Summer is pretty much the WORST season and you always see the worst of the worst come out and hang out and start trouble. I didnt see that one time this summer NOT ONCE. Ive left to go to work at 11pm QUIET, Ive came home from a night out at 3am and all is quiet. I have seen the cops here one time... I dont know what it was about because everything was quiet. I have never seen drug deals and trust me I have lived in the worst apartments... METRO WOODS..on 16 and Harper. So I know BAD apartments and where all the "thug" people are at. I never see gangs... fights NOTHING. I see kids playing thats about it. The pool is a nice area. Quiet. I have lived in an apartment in Detroit... I know about ghetto thugs and drugs. This place is clean. Again Ive seen dirty unkept grounds... and this is not the place. I see employees cleaning up every morning. If you are looking to live here I insist you do. I love this place and am so happy I decided to move it. Oh and I can say the walls are amazing and soundproof. I hear nothing, and neither do my neighbors. I even had a huge going away party and no one complained. My neighbor had a big party and I had no clue about it... thats how great the walls are. To be honest... the people writing the lies about this place are in fact the people who are mad because they were causing problems, not paying rent, dealing drugs...... They are just mad because they got evicted and they want to get back at the aparments I guess. But they are lying either way it goes because this place is a great place to live and I will be here until I buy a house..... lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji

HA this is by far the funniest thing I have ever read...trust me honey the other reviews are not lies...I dont know what area of the complex you live in but it must be the opposit of me. I have been here since 2004 and up until this year I would have agreed with you, bu then again I lived on the other side. Where I am at now its horrible, I see drug deals almost on a daily basis and most of the time its mid afternoon. Just a week ago I watched 4 cops chase and tackle a guy that lives in the building next to mine. Then a couple months ago the building on the other side of me one resident stabbed another one. He was just released and I am fearful.
I am a hard working mid 30s woman and I keep to myself, so therefor I am not a drug dealer or trouble maker. Luckily I have no young children to worry about right now because if I did I would have broken my lease a long time ago, Im just thankful that my lease is up next month and I am out of here and into a house. I know you dont know me but please listen to me when I tell you to keep a very close eye on your son, this place is not what it seems on the surface. There are many dangers that lurk in the hidden areas. I have even seen our neighborhood homeless man (who is very polite and sweet and has been around here for years) get beat up by teenagers and they stole his bike, food, and cans. This happend right infront of my apartment and luckily the cops were here fast and his items were recovered and those boys were arrested. If you really dont believe the aligations on this site I suggest calling the Clinton Twp police dept. Im sure they would be happy to address your concerns about this property. Good luck with everything, I really hope you see what we are all talking about and you leave before you sign another lease.

I agree 100%. Live here for a while and repost please.(hahah) I have first hand experience seeing the drug dealing and the weapons on the property. Its pretty bad when you have neighbors that carry guns and fist fight in your yard. To my knowledge that's not allowed here. So I'm leaving asap. I have lived here for two years and its getting worse. KEEP IN MIND I DONT SELL DRUGS OR CAUSE THE PROBLEMS THAT YOU SAID US ANGRY POSTERS DO)(HAHA)TRUE but i have no reason to. (PEOPLE LIE)> NO people are sick of the stuff that goes on here. frankly I cant sleep knowing what goes on here. Good luck to you and your son. keep a close eye and your doors locked. also keep your windows rolled up on your car. a lot of break ins.

Keep in mind when you read these posts that there are many different areas to the community as a whole. What always goes on in one area may never be seen in another so for this original poster to say that the other posters are lying is not true, they cannot know what goes on everywhere in here. I have resided here for 7 years in 3 different buildings. I've been in my current building for 2 years and the last year it's been nothing but trouble. All the things you've read about: drugs, violence, police being called constantly, noise disruptions are all true. I have a few more months and I'm counting down the days until I get the heck out of this place. This isn't a pleasurable place to live anymore. I called the police a few months back and the 911 dispatcher said (once I told him where I lived) said in a tired tone (like they are sick of sending people out here), "Ohhh Ok. Sure. we'll get someone out as soon as there's a car available". They are quite familiar there with all of the problems and being called all the time.

Under new management and the trouble makers are no longer living within the community. Very peaceful now. Office staff and maintenance are fantastic! Grounds and apartments are kept up. Great community now that all the low lifes are gone!

No, NOT under new management, Princeton purchased the property at the end of June 2008. (when did the first problems start happening? Just read the dates!) New On Site manager took over April 2009! ( When did things start getting even worse??? read the dates on the posts! ) Also the same response date on the fake post by the new manager about how wonderful the property is, hmmmmmm!
