I've lived here since May 2008. Since then, there has been a murder, a felon caught here and I've seen neighbors get their tires slashed. A neighbor had his third floor apartment broken into. They took a couple computers and his car. Because the intruder had his keys, they wanted the locks changed. YORK CREEK CHARGED HIM TO CHANGE HIS LOCKS!!! He was afraid they guy could come back!! If you drive through here, so can see drug deals taking place on the streets!! The office staff really doesn't care if you have a problem, except maintenance is really fast. Neighbors are very inconsiderate. I hate being outside day or night. There's creeps all over the place, broken down cars everywhere and it's not safe for people who value their lives or have children. I'm moving as soon as I can find another place, and they charge $625 to break your lease, but it's well worth it because I'll be safe somewhere else.

The place is getting pretty bad but, with any place you live, you should keep your doors and windows locked at all times. You can't blame management for charging to change the locks if you need them changed... It's not their fault and they shouldn't have to pay for services rendered from a locksmith or maintenance and the cost of materials and key duplicates. Again, common sense applies.

That's crap. They make millions every month and when someone defaults, moves, and keeps keys they change their locks. They should have insurance that pays for the locks to be changed in cases like this. My key unlocks my apartment and my neighbors apartment. I've told maintenance about it, and they haven't changed either of our keys/locks yet. Yea, my key unlocks 6 and 7 of my building, never tried it on any other doors. Was kinda inebriated when I did it, but couldn't believe it worked. At least I get along with the guys over there. I hope they don't steal my stuff.
