River Walk is not the place you want to move into. I have lived here for four months and I'm seriously considering breaking my lease and getting out early. We have lost power here four times already! I'm not talking just a few hours either, I'm talking days! Also you can't drink the water, it's just horrible (so you can also forget about ice cubes). Showering in the hard water of Corunna is also bad, because your hair will feel different and you never will have that clean feeling of a good shower. Do you want cable or satellite' Well you'll have to go through this company called Arialink which I think is German for crap. You'll pay $45/month for 100 channels and mostly you'll see an error #112 if is is raining, cloudy, windy, too hot, or even too cold (that excuse is from an actual Arialink Customer Service Rep). You like old people' I think River Walk is about two more old people short of becoming an official retirement home. Most of whom leave their trash in the hallway so that it smells terrible out there. I've also had the center caps on my Chevy truck stolen while living here and River Walk was kind enough not to even issue an apology. Don't bother to get to know anyone working in the office because they quit about every other week. The manager is very stuck up and difficult to communicate with as well, however she is nice at first so be warned. The in unit washer and dryer are nice however the dryer always leaves clothes wrinkly. closing, River Walk is the perfect example of what an apartment complex shouldn't be. I would never recommend this place to anyone even people I don't like. PLEASE DO NOT RENT HERE! uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax

As the manager of River Walk Apartments, I apologize to Spartan_04 who feels that they have received less than our standard of customer service while residing here. It is our mission to provide platinum customer service. The River Walk Team strives to maintain the River Walk community as Shiawassee County's "Best of the Best" for the past 9 years. Water here at the complex comes from the City of Corunna. What you may not be aware of is that Corunna purchases the water from the City of Owosso who have their own well/s. Please be aware of the fact that this is the same water that you drink while going to the local restaurants and it's the same water that is used to make the ice cubes that are placed in your soft drinks. So it is not just our complex that uses this water as it is the entire Owosso-Corunna community. In the twelve years I have been here I have allowed residents to have softners systems installed in their apartments when asked. To date, three were installed. If you have additional needs, you are more than welcome to call Culligan Water Conditioning at (989) 725-5515 for service. When our cable provider Arialink, purchased our system two years ago, they purchased equipment that was ten years old. This is equipment that runs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. In the past two years they have continued to make upgrades to the system. All new equipment was installed in the head end, new receivers were brought in along with new amplifiers and now they are installing new underground wiring. Arialink brought in engineers last week to design further upgrades to the system. Arailink has experienced problems just like any other company does with acquisitions but our residents have received credit to their accounts to help with the problems they have endured during this period. Being a resident of the community for the past couple of years, at no time have I lost satellite signal during incliment weather. I don't know why you would have been misinformed by someone telling you that if it was raining, cloudy, windy, too hot or even as you said, too cold that this would cause problems with our satellite system. If this was the case, I would have alot of very unhappy people and I reassure you that this has not been an issue. In our monthly news letter it does state that we do offer Valet Trash Service for individuals who request it. They are to have their trash bagged and in the halls by 10 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays for maintenance to pick it up for them. We do ask that the individuals "DO NOT" set the trash out the night before as it can create ordors in the halls. The trash is picked up in a timely fashion and disposed of. We have residents who are thankful for the service and were surprised to hear that we offered such a service. I have had residents who have thrown their backs out, had back surgeries and knee replacements and asked to be placed on our valet service until they were back on their feet again and all were very appreciative of the assistance. *All of who never utilized the service before as they are capable of taking out their own trash. I was sorry to read that you had your center caps stolen off your vehicle. I was not aware of this. To the best of my knowledge, I have had this happen only once and it was several years ago and the property was recovered. I do not recall any such information being reported to the office. Had I been notified of such, I would have instructed you to report this to the Corunna Police Department to have a report filed. I am a little confused about your comment in regards to the office staff quitting every week. I had a leasing consultant leave who was attending collage in the evening and needed to get back into the field for which she was studying - which was part of the nursing criteria. I then had one of our employees step into the office while we located someone to fill the position, she was trained then we transfered her to one of our sister complexes where she is now manager. My leasing staff does work first hand with the general public and they have been offered other jobs that are beneficial to them, so if they choose to move on, it's merely a stepping stone in their careers. I am always sad to see one go but when it furthers their careers, you can't hold it against them or us. As far as longevity goes, four out of five staff members have a combined 26 years of service to this community. I contacted Consumers Energy in regards to the electrical outages at River Walk. Comsumers assured me at no time were we without electricity for several days. He stated they work hard to restore service when it is out, bringing in additional crews from out of town (even out of state when necessary) so that the electricity can be restored to their comsumers as soon as possible. Consumers stated that the electrical outages that they have recorded were from storms, nothing that could have been prevented. Again, should a power outage in the area affect us, it will also affect the surrounding Owosso-Corunna community as well. You have mentioned that I was stuck up, this is a bit confusing to me but if I have offended you in anyway, let me say that I am truley sorry! According to the dates you have listed, this is the same time period that I lost several months of history off my computer. I have since moved my computer into the back office where I have been working non-stop to re-enter this information. If at any time you had stepped in and I was off in thought, I was not trying to be rude by any means. I had lost a lot of critical information that I need on a daily basis and both of my back ups were corrupt as well. Again, please accept my apology and be aware that I have maintained an open door policy with my staff and with the residents for the past twelve years. Any comments or concerns that you may have, you are more than welcome to address them with me. One issue, I'd like to address with you is your dryer; I have never had anyone tell me that their clothes come out wrinkled. Can we place a work order to have maintenance look the dryer over, see what you are setting it on and try to resolve this issue? Give us a call today at (989) 725-8700, we are available Monday - Friday from 9:00 until 5:30 and office staff only on Saturday from 10:00 - 2:00. I look forward to resolving these issues and any other concerns you may have. Sincerely, Kristi Davis Manager

It has taken the Manger more than two months to respond, as I read on, I hear more excuses about the Mangers short commings and her inability to be an effective Manager.
