Riverwalk is a great place to live...but be prepared to pay for it. They offer deals to new people moving in, but don't honor those deals to people who already live there who are trying to renew their lease.(how ridiculous is it they they wouldn't offer the same deal to someone who has already been giving them money for the past year'!'!)
And if you have a pet...you might as well consider getting rid of it. $50 a month ON TOP of a $250 deposit!!! Shouldn't a deposit cover the pet''' I mean, if something happens to the apartment, that's what the deposit is for...to fix it. This means that you are spending $600 a year on top of rent even if you just have a little kitten that sleeps all day and doesn't do anything! Most obsurd thing ever!
Oh, and they mention that it is roughly $80 in heating a month...not if you have a top floor apartment with vaulted ceilings!...it's upwards of $120 even if you don't use the heat all the time.
In short...this is a very expensive place to live it, that does not treat everyone fairly. I mean, you live in little ole' Corunna for God's sake...quit charging people like you are in a major city!

Here at River Walk Apartments we like to pride ourselves on offering clean, well maintained apartments within a friendly living environment. While, to the best of our knowledge, River Walk is the only apartment community in the Owosso/Corunna area that accepts pets, we find that we must follow appropriate guidelines to offer this privileged. As our research has supported, most apartment communities that offer pet privileges have some restrictions and also do require a deposit and monthly fee (please reference the following website www.peoplewithpets.com). Upon a resident moving out, those apartments that housed pets require a more extensive cleaning process, including the sanitizing of all carpeted area. Therefore, the pet deposit is used to cover damages from the pet upon move out and the pet fee is payable for the privilege of having a pet live in the rental dwellings. On occasion, the on site manager has been asked if she would watch pets while residents are out of town and she has gone above and beyond her managerial duties to do so to accommodate residents' requests. Also, when moving into River Walk Apartments we recommend residence to ask Consumer's Energy (our utility provider) to set them up on the budget plan which allows them to have a consistent monthly bill (yearly average). We have been directly quoted from Consumer's that on average a billing amount for a 2 bedroom apartment that is using the budget plan is $87. However, it is the residents'responsibility to contact Consumer's to become a part of this program; otherwise they will continue to receive fluctuating bills. In today's economic times, there are often cases in which a promotional rate is offered to new customers, new contracts, etc. You have stated in your posting that you have paid rent for the past year (indicating to us that you have resided here for approximately one year), in which at that time we were offering a move in special on 2 bedroom apartments, upstairs in the front of the building. Therefore, as a new resident, you would have received this special unless you chose an apartment that did not fall into the promotional rate, such as an apartment offering a patio or balcony with a waterfront view. Again, upon move in, we are up front and honest with any potential and/or current resident. Any potential resident moving in with or without a pet is fully made aware of the pet deposit and monthly fee in advance, along with the option of Consumer's budget plan and the current special.
