First, the good things:
1.The office staff is friendly and helpful, office has good hours.
2.Maintenance staff really keeps up on clearing sidewalks in winter and responds very fast to calls.
3.Convenient location to expressway.
4.Some apartments have nice views of trees, instead of parking lots or other apartment buildings.
5.Cable internet available.
6.Plenty of parking spaces.
7.Clubhouse and pool are in very nice condition.

Now, the not so nice things:
1.Some neighbors must not work, because they party all week long, all night long. Really nice for people who actually earn a living and have to sleep in order to work the next day.
2.Noise I can hear every door in the building slam. Even the front door slams. People like to run up and down the stairs in the middle of the night you can hear their conversations. If you have an apartment on the first or second floors, you can hear every move the people above you make. Our neighbor likes to jump around and run around the apartment, which has actually shaken items off of our walls. It sounds like the neighbor above is rolling big rocks around the apartment. Thats not as sad as other people in here though, abusive boyfriend knocking his girl around and she screams she needs to go to a doctor. The police came and they have been quiet since.
3.Our apartment has cracks on the ceilings and some of the walls. I know buildings settle and shift but come on. Our friends who lived here had to fight the management because the management was trying to blame them for the cracks on their ceiling. How do you put cracks on a ceiling' After looking around, I noticed that on the back of the closet doors in the bedroom, there is severe water stains, which leads me to believe at one point before we moved in, the apartment above us flooded. That would explain the cracks on the ceilings, water stains on doors, and creaking floors above.
4.In the winter, the windows develop condensation, which leads to red and green and black mold growing around the windows. Bleach water cleans it off, but how safe can that be' If it gets cold, the condensation actually turns into ice and frost. Not the most energy efficient windows.
5.My car has been vandalized.
6.I can hear the people next to us having sex all night long.

BUT, when you compare it to other places around, it is a good deal.
