My husband and I are currently in a building towards the back of the complex, which is very quiet, surrounded by trees and has ample parking. No complaints.
Our first stay in 2002-03 was okay, but we had noisy neighbors, one of which we had to call the cops on twice in a row. We stayed in one of the middle buildings, which I think are cheaper and therefore attracts the younger crowd. We're paying a little more now for a different floorplan, and it's well worth the extra money.
The front and middle buildings are the least expensive - the further back you go (higher numbered buildings), towards Shannon Manor (the townhouses also owned by them), the better they seem to be.
Maintenance is wonderful, we have only had to call them once or twice and they have showed up the same day.
The front of the complex often floods during heavy rain. The speed bumps are a pain, especially for those of us in tiny cars, and I have seen people drive on the grass to get around them. I do have to be very aware if I'm out walking because cars speed through the streets and parking lots.
We got in on a lease special for $50 off per month. We are nearing the end of our lease, but if we sign another 12 month lease they will only raise our rent by $10, so we're still getting a pretty good deal. Just make sure to pay the rent on time and try not to give them any reason to come after you and your money... not hard to do!
