while moving in, the tenants across the hall from me, stole my computer while i was unloading the uhaul. when we recovered it, they were angered at being caught though i didn't press charges. my door was vandalized w/ obscenities, my tires were slashed and i was in constant fear of leaving the apartment and the management only said 'sounds like you're having a rough time of it.' the walls are so thin that if i watched a movie w/ a party scene, the man upstairs would come down and scream at me to stop with all the noise. the sidewalks are never cleared but there's a lovely bucket of salt and shovel left by the front entrance so that you can dig your vehicle out if you need to get to work. in the basement area, each apartment has a storage unit that i made use of since i moved from a large home. the management made the mistake of telling maintenence that my storage unit was actually abondoned and all of they cut through my padlock and removed all of my belongings which the maintence person then gave to his girlfriend. management claimed that they tried to contact me about this before they gave the maintenence man the go ahead. what did they need to contact me about if i lived there and the damn unit was part of my rental space' after demanding my things be returned and refusals from the management i actually had to get the police involved to get everything back from this guy's girlfriend. to this day, i still find things missing from this incident since i didn't have a list of all the things i had in storage. i could go on, there's more, but i gather you've got the point.
