I happened to come across Fairlane East yesterday ( 6/9/2009.) I couldnt help but notice how nice things looked from a distance--that is until I got up close to the apartments! When I came into the complex the security took down my license plate, which I figured was pretty normal. I had the so called realtor give me a tour. I was impressed with the pool and not so much with the landscaping UNTIL I took a walk around the grounds! There were missing patches in the grass and parts were there was no grass at all. Several fences were falling down or torn off completely! After looking at their apartments, I was completely disgusted. Dirt on the entrance light, rusted appliances inside and out, and that view that theu brag about so much was completely obstructed by trees that need to be cut down. The place was filthy and I expected to see a rat/roach run across the floor at any moment. Also, they have nowhere for their tenants to park except under a dirty carport, and again I doubt you would want to step under anything so nasty looking.
On my way out of the filthy establishment I noticed that someone had their patio window completely shattered. It was replaced with a wooden plank! How tacky! To sum everything up. I will never return to Fairlane East. Ignore their Craigslist ads, and their fake pictures!

If youre a tenant there than apparently youre used to the slums. Then again I live in a highrise building Downtown with an attached garage and top flight security. Good luck with living in Fairlane East!

I am not renewing my lease. The grounds are fine, the car port is ok too. I am just sick of the maintenance issues. If you live in the back of the complex good luck being plowed out in a timely manner. The gutters are failing down. Outside my building when it snows, three inches of ice builds up and I have to call maintenance to have it broken up and salted....EVERYTIME. When it rains I have a huge puddle in front of my door leading to the walkway. I literally have to implement a plan of action to get to my door. The gutters were supposed to be repaired or replaced this spring according to Alexis in the lesing office. It's now summer. It's ridiculous. I'm sure if I came out and injured myself the problem would have been resolved.

Frankly, you couldn't pay me to live in a high rise downtown. I have nature at my doorstep here at Fairlane East. We obviously have different priorities.

This apartment complex will rip you off. Be careful if they give you a cheap special, you will get what you asked for. An old unit, with old cabinets, smells old, with very fragile wall tiles in the bathroom that break with just soft touch while cleaning it and would reveal the molds behind it. The manager only cares about the money, you'll be surprised at the end of your lease, she can come up with every fee that she can charge to rip off your security deposit and much worse you would still owe them a certain amount.
