I've been a resident since 1998 and felt I needed to chime in. When I moved into the community it was a little over 10 years old. I now have a 1st floor townhome but used to live in a 2 bedroom on the 2nd floor for the first 5 years. I do occasionally get insects (pill bugs in particular) but this is the nature of living in a slab-foundation community nestled on 127 acres of forest. Is it to the point of being unbearable' Of course not - my home is treated by a professional company when I bring it to management's attention and it's addressed in a timely manner.
Speaking of which, being here for 10 years has allotted me the opportunity to see quite a few different property managers, and I have to say that the current one Dylan is an awesome manager. The person who called him an idiot in the other post is an idiot himself. Dylan is professional, polite, eager to please the residents, and very personable. Any issues I have brought to his attention are addressed immediately and he's always available. He s been here almost a year now and I can see a tremendous positive difference since his arrival.
The pool can get a little crowded in the summer time but I have been told by management that they now have restrictive policies in place that will eliminate any issues. As it s March right now we ll have to wait and see this summer, but I am confident that there will be no problems as Dylan has been very honest with me. I d also like to mention that the service department is awesome, very quick, and they do a great job. The other office personnel are very nice too Ken, Colleen, Darius, and Eric thank you so much for your assistance!
As I said I have been here 10 years and when I moved in the apartments were already 10 years old. That said, they are in excellent condition even though most of the appliances are older.
I can t recommend Fairlane Woods enough this place has to be seen to be believed! Spring and summer here look absolutely fantastic especially when the flowers are in bloom. Come and live with us I think they give you 30-days to try out the homes without commitment anyway!
Very nice place to live!

Management Representatives, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop writing reviews about yourselves and the apartments you manage. Even a kid can deduce that these good reviews have been written by the personnel paid by the management or the manager.

I think you calling someone you've never met an idiot is pretty idiotic actually, but thanks. Also it should be noted that it should be followed by himself/herself since you don;t know the gender of the person you are accusing of being an idiot. And its quite unfortunate you've lived in an apartment complex for 10 years.

Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, that entry was obviously written by you. I know you & your staff think the tenants are idiots but, what makes it so hard to live there is we are smarter than you. First of all your insect "service" sucks. They only come out 1 day a week so if your infested with pill bugs on Sunday you have to wait till Thursday to get the apt. treated. Too much, too little, too late. Besides that, the spraying activates them. You may have 100 when he sprays and then 500 after he sprays. And, no Dylan, it is not the nature of living in slab type buildings "nestled" in an UNKEPT forrest. It's the nature of living in a slab type apartment that has not been maintained through the years so the foundation is full of cracks and thats how the bugs get in. And, if it is the "nature" of the community then I am sure your leasing agents tell all the new tenanats about the bugs, right? WRONG! Yeah, the pool is crowded alright and used by practically the whole city of East Dearborn and all their "kin" and your management company won't do anything about it because of there damn deep pockets. They won't spend $6 an hour on someone to monitor the pool. So, the tenant's very high rent money pays for all those people to swim in the pool. Your delusional....nothing has changed at that dump since you have been there. Your just a Marquette puppet saying a lot of NOTHING. Don't feel bad your just 1 of the past 9 or 10. As long as you keep lying to the tenants and, sit behind your desk and NEVER go out on the property and make sure all the apartments are filled with everything and anything you will always have a job. But, the minute your occupancy goes below 95% you will be history. And, as far as you being there???You only work 4 days a week and you sit behind your desk all day. You don't even know your tenants and you never walk the property to see what we are talking about. What about the corroded leaking gutters Dylan? The ugly ass garages that don't work properly? How about the windows and, the leaky roofs? and your very sleepy security guard? What's your explanation for all that? Ya know, if your bosses would just shell out the money that is needed to get that place in shape it would be a nice place to live. But, as it stands now, it's a dump. Another 10 years without maintenance and even the ducks that crap all over the property won't want to live there.

Woodsman: I think you understated the age of the appliances. Among other things but, the appliances and the washer & dryers to put it mildly are "outdated" maybe I think I saw the same oven on a 1970's sitcom. And, Woodsman, I'd love to hear about the changes in the pool monitoring when it happens. Don't expect any monitoring after the security guard leaves and don't expect any when he's there. It's after office hours when the problems occur. Like after 5 on Saturday and after 4 on Sunday and after 6 during the week. Please get back to me on this I would love to hear the solution. Also, does your common sense tell you someone is going to move into a home for 30 days and then say oops, I'm moving again because I don't like it here. Management knows people HATE to move. That little deal is --------.
