I've been living at Carriage Hill for 10 months and so far so good. The apartments and landscaping are always kept. Maintanence and Staff are definately on top of things. Roomy apartments and nice layouts. Carriage hill is in a nice are of Dearborn Heights but Inkster (ghetto) is a few blocks away.
3) items to note: 1) You have to pay for cold water, warm water, sewers, heat & utility adm fees. The utilities (excl electricity) are evenly split up among the units so even if you are conservative, you will not make a dent in the bills. These items average to $130 a month for a 2 bedroom apt!! 2) I have noticed that the quality of the tenants is is slipping little by little - (figure out the meaning here on your own). Hopefully there will be no impact in the future. 3) Parking is generally good but if you live in a few sections, you might not always find a close spot.
I would recommend this place but keep in mind the extra money you will have to spend on the utilities.
