Just Fine!

I agree that many of these comments are unfair. The only people who leave comments are the one's who've had bad experiences, which account for MAYBE 1% of the tennants here. No place is perfect, guys!
Belcrest is clean, well kept, and friendly. The staff is friendly and helpful, and courtious to it's guests. The rooms are very nice, with new carpets installed for each new tennent, repainted, and electrical checked.
Maintenance is adequate, and problems are taken care of quickly - I've never had any problems, so no biggie there.
Parking's a bit sparce, but that's alright - you shouldn't have problems getting a spot. Parking is in a dedicated, secluded lot. Passcards are required to enter the building, so the door is ALWAYS locked.... good enough security for me. The new management has also established an evening monitor - the door is always being watched. I've had no problems security-wise.
Detroit can be a little rough, granted, but Belcrest is nestled a good part of town, between the Art College and Wayne State (just across the street), and adjacent to the library and Detroit Institute of art. Restaurants are a bit hard to find nearby, but that's generally unimportant.
No problems here! I've quite enjoyed my stay!
