Belcrest is an old building. Water leaks in the bathroom, in the kitchen. Even if reported it's never fixed. Be prepared to pay yourself if you want your apartment to be in an acceptable condition. You can't do anything about the windows though. They are so dirty that you think it's always foggy in Detroit. In 8 years I've been at Belcrest they have NEVER been washed.
Winter is awful in these apartments! It's so cold! You are lucky when your indoor temperature is 65! The old heating system never works. In addition, the management tries to save money by not turning the heat on during daytime.

I lived there too and I was always freezing in the winter- ALWAYS. My heater was constantly blowing out cold air. One time it even leaked water all over my living room.
