I have been at the Belcrest for about 6 months. This experience is by far the best living arrangement I have had in my 6 years living in the Wayne State area. The problems I had with heat in the room were met by the mainetaince staff. They sealed off all the drafts in my apartment, replaced windows, and added a plastic covering inside the windows to help keep heat in. The adjustments made a noticeable difference in the temperature of my apartment. My first electric bill of the winter was high, but I ran my heating units the entire day. Now, I run the heat only when I am in the apartment and my electric bill is under $80. In the summer months, my electric bill averaged $30-$40. I am more than willing to pay the extra amount for heating during the cold months (dec, jan, feb) because I was promised by the management that my monthly rent price would not go up.
