This building is constantly having water issues. I don't even know how many days we
've gone without hot water or no water at all in the last couple of years. There were 2-3 months when one wing of the building didn't have any water mon-fri from 9-5 because the new bar downstairs was having plumbing issues. There is water leaking out of the pipes in many of the walls especially in the hallway with the apartments on the north end and there is definately a mold problem. The owner's solution to all of these leaks that are causing some ceilings to bow is to replaster the wall and let it be. Now the maintenance crew is too busy working on an addition at the owner's home, so repairs for tenants are next to impossible at the belcrest. I would avoid this place. It's definately overpriced for a slumlord. The only reason this place is always inhabited is because of the location. There are definately other places in the area for a more reasonable price. There is also a bad cockroach problem in the building and I'm sure the leaking water doesn't help matters. And the greasy exhaust for bars kitchen runs right down the side of the building next to the front door. This probably attracts them too. Just this week I found that 2 of my neighbors' ceilings have fallen in on them. One is moving out now and the other is looking for a new place. This place is so overpriced. It's literally falling apart.I would never consider living here again now that I've experienced the mess this place really is.
