I have lived in the Belcrest the past three years and I have had minimal problems. Lets face it, its not technically your place. The maintenance in slow at getting to things but they do get fixed. I have never had a problem with rodents. I had a small case of roaches but some roach killer and an extreminator paid by the apartment took care of the problem. The rent is reasonable and you cant beat the location near campus. The manager is a good guy but if you are rude to him he will be right back. Hes busy but trys to take care of the tenants. After all it is a 12 story building. The place is safe and never had a problem there. I have been happy and I am going to be sad to move away.
Major Problems: No Heat in the Winter, the insulation is terrible. Make sure to cover windows, vents, etc. and invest in a energy saver spave heater. Hot Water and Water Pressure is often minimal in the shower. Youll get to know the times.
