GREAT PLACE

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2009
I live within the same building that this person below speaks of.
Yes, bed bugs were an issue because morons such as the persons who write reviews like that are the ones bringing them in! Do your research... I have been a tenant within the building for quite some time and have NEVER had any issues until the new move-ins this year.
Management went well and above their duties to make sure that we were all taken care of and if you have issues with some things in your apartment, submit a work order to get it fixed! I have never had any issues with them coming and checking things out and having them fix it.
As far as the water is concerned, it was a 2 day period...NOT 4. They had to replace the hot water tank and everyone within the building was notified, both by calls and notices.
This building is old...you see the apartment before you go into it...you know what you're getting into. The units in this particular building are small...but so is the price. The set up is awkward, but it works! They have other apartments that are much larger if you want a larger set up.
The only issue I have ever had was when the company that owns the laundry took forever and a day to come fix it. Other then that, it's a great place!
The staff is always friendly and helpful. I've been late with my rent twice throughout my stay here. I cannot believe the crap that people give to the staff in the office. I sat and watched a guy from the second floor in my building and from the building next to ours sit and b#$%h out the management because they were adhering to the policies and guidelines set before them. They are doing their job. They did not make your rent late...YOU DID BY NOT PAYING IT ON TIME!
I actually feel sorry for the staff...they put up with so much crap and shouldn't have to. They are a great group of people and should be treated with respect.
I walk to classes in the Engineering building M-F and to Mano on Saturday mornings. Never once have I felt unsafe.
The reality is...you live in the city....NOT in the middle of the 100 acre woods or in the country!
The area has lots to offer, Campus Village staff is great, the apartments are well worth the money and they have lots of large and small layouts.
I have recommened three people over the time I've been here. One graduated and moved away, and the other two are still residents on the property (87 building and in the building off of Cass). They have been here going on three years.
