Great views/ Great Pool

I have lived downtown for 11 years and have rented numerous houses and apartments. Lafayette Towers is by far one of the best packages for a young professional who wants to make downtown their home.
Building Design:
I live in a large corner one bedroom on the 18th floor. The view is incredible. The building was designed by the famous designer and architect Mies van der Rohe, who was/is known for his minimal aesthetic (Bauhaus school of art in Germany). It has been a dream of mine to live in one of his master pieces. You get a real sense of modern design living in the park (the only modern neighborhood in Detroit). Fabulous!
Amenities:
Right down stairs we have a Chinese food take out, great Thai restaurant, pizza, and a dollar and beauty store. In a five minute driving distance there are three grocery stores (cheap to expensive), Eastern Market is a 10 minute walk, Greektown is a 15 min walk, Ford Stadium and Comerica Park are also 15 mins. Im a single girl and walk to all of these with no problem all the time.
Pool:
I cant say enough about the pool. Its large enough for several people, it rarely gets crowded and its family friendly without being conservative- plenty of young people hang out there. It is always a good time. You can bring down a cooler and spend the day!
Over all great package:
In any other big city you would easily pay two to three times what you pay at Lafayette Towers. It feels like you are living large, but on a medium size wallet. Of courses, its not perfect, every apartment building comes with some imperfections, but it is pretty close. And for the price, you really cant beat it.
