Doesn't feel like home, more like a public building

Since there's no central heating and cooling, it's cold in the winter and hot in the summer. In the summer months, my apartment is hot and muggy unless I run the air conditioners 24/7. The hallways are hot and stuffy all the time. The elevators are always broken down. Sometimes the only option is to take the friegt elevator, which smells of garbage. I usually take the stairs.
The apartment itself stinks of food from other tenants cooking. You can also smell burning trash and when it rains, there's a strange smell that I can only describe as urine in the air. Then there was the anonymous person who left letters under the doors of several tenants warning them of drug trafficking going on in the building. Obviously, this person received no help from management or security if they had to resort to this. I have personally seen suspicious activity going on the laundry room.
And speaking of security, why bother' These people are not police officers. They have not been trained as such and can't provide any meaningful security to anyone. I don't need anyone to open the gate or open the door for me. I can do that myself without the extra people walking around that adds to the sense of this being a public building.
There's also one particular doorman who seems to crave attention from all the ladies. What's worse is that he does his best to try to be "in" with the single-male element that has moved into the building. As a single female, it's time for me to move out. Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7

I have to agree with you. I too am a single female living here. Those guards are horrible. I bet you are talking of the dark skinned bald headed one. No one likes to come home from a hard day at work to a man grinning in their face. Not only that, they stand around talking all of the time instead of guarding the building. They hang out in the halls as well - just checking out the females. There is drug trafficking going on in the building now all of a sudden. It would not surprise me if it was the guards. (since we do have new faces) I am running out of here. It is only going to get worse. I have been seeing a lot of things I don't like.

you both speak the truth..i lived there several years ago and my son's dad lives adworks there..i do not like my son to visit his dad there..it always had a garbage smell and many problems..one reason is management is too busy being gossips and divulging tenant information to one another to care about the property or their jobs..drugs been aroundthere for a long time as well as theft of tenants items @ evictions from staff & guards..the prop mgt co Habitat was being bamboozled by the staff for many years..they sold the building recently..the cmment bout the guards trying to be cool with the young male crowd has always been true...they think they will get more play from females...be careful living there, at least the people who stayed in their jobs from Habitat are SHADY
