I hate to leave my loft!

I have lived at the Lofts at Woodward Center for two years, but I have to leave Detroit. I had such a hard time finding a place because my expectations are so high after living here. I wish I could pick up this building and take it with me. These are true lofts - super high ceilings with big windows. The management has changed over the years, but everyone has always been great. Maintenance is great too - even if I just needed a light bulb changed, they were right on it. It does get noisy on weekends, because we're in the middle of downtown near all kinds of bars and restaurants. So, while it's nice to be able to walk to all these places, it just also means dealing with the partygoers. I like to say that I moved to the party - it didn't move to me. So, it's not that big a deal. The people mover stop is right outside the back door, so that's cool. I think my favorite part about this place is the location. It's fun to walk to a ball game at Comerica Park or Ford Field. Plus, on a nice day its a quick few blocks walk to the riverfront. My neighbors are cool too. The building is pretty diverse and everyone is really nice. I'll miss it :)
