i looked at millender - the model was nice, but the neighbors are either drug dealers or snooty people. a friend of mind lived here last year. she won't write in, but she has some interesting stories about cars being vandalized and a sex predator living in the building.

I do not know what building you were looking at but credit and criminal background checks are done on all occupants of this community

The above 6/22/05 review from -anonymous- is way off b base (third hand drivel). I've lived here for a year and have had nothing but great experiences here. Management, maintenance, parking, and security are all the best. The downtown experience is surprisingly lively. James

I think that your comments are offensive especially since you've never lived here. I have never had my car vandalized. All of my neighbors and the staff are extremely friendly. Plus, how do you know what a drug dealer looks like upon the first glance? I'm a professional making very close to six figures and on the weekends I wear sweats, big puffy jackets, Timberlands...would you think that I'm a drug dealer? I used to share a wall with the laundry room and I never even heard the hum of the dryers against my wall. That's how quiet this place is. I recommend you reserve your comments for the place that you live instead of trying to shed a negative light on a positive place in the city of Detroit.

I used to live at the millender center, and all i can really say is that it was not a positive experience. The managment staff are rude and inpersonal. They are nice untill you sign the lease, and after that, the satff does almost a 360* turn around. I do not reccommend the Millender to any one, because, my experience was very negative. I suggest, finding a place were staff geniuinely care about the residents. It was a horrible experience, I felt like I had no real peace. After moving from the Millender, it was like a whole 50 pounds of stress left my body. I did not know what negatively they were affecting my lifesstlye and body. Do not live there, Trust me it is not worth the money or the headache. On a nuber of occassions I was follwed, te maintence staff were always 'hitting on me', the elevators, were smelly, and slow, the secruity staff were impersonal and had to give you permission to enter the your own home. This place never felt like home to me.
