I lived at Millender Center for five years and LOVED it! Not only was it quiet and comfortable as even the worst detractors have admitted, but maintenance and security services were the best-ever. Due to efficient building techniques, utility bills are far lower for superior services than a suburban homeowner will pay. Maintenance on problems was always same-day in alacrity and thorough in repairs. Sure, the loading dock for move-in and move-out is a shared facility that can get crowded or awkward once in a while, but it always "works for me." And it was FUN living close to the occasionally throbbing heart of Detroit. When time came for my growing family to "move out to the suburbs" management was good about returning my security deposit.
