Think before buying

Don't be fooled by the recently applied paint and the smart sofas in the lobby. This place is still not a great place to live.
It's 70 degrees outside but because the afternoon sun shines directly onto the woodward side of the building it's way over 80 degres in the apartments. And remains so through until early morning. Why' Because the central air-conditioning has been turned off for everyone. And yes, it is against the building's rules to have your own air conditioning. So there's no choice but to roast away whilst management saves a buck.
But don't worry that the heat will keep you awake at night, the lack of double or secondary glazing means that every police siren, fire siren etc going up and down woodward _all_ through the night will do that anyway (the screaming crazies on the street generally shut up by about 2am).
And as others have said ... don't even mention the garage! (As there's no longer space for bikes in there you'll have to use the freight elevator to take them up and down to the apartments after getting the key off the sometimes nice sometimes "what do you want now" doorman).
For a wider perspective on this improving but still not very nice ("white folk should know where they're not wanted" - heard this very morning) area:
