Greetings to all, just for the record don't be fooled! "Riverplace management and security is terrible". I think the security is far more worse than management, but i want to be clear on one thing. The lobby security is doing a great job, it's the garage and the rover security that needs to be replaced immediately. I was coming home one night and observed three guys in a blue ford ranger looking suspicious. i doubled back to see if they were up to something,as it was i was right, they had broken into my neighbors grey jeep liberty!I'm no cop or hero, but i shone my lights on the guys and they fled.I informed security (older short guy)in details of what happened. He perpetrated as though he was stunned and with haste got on his CB and that was that. Later the next day i saw my neighbor whom the jeep belonged to and told her what happened. She told me she asked security about the incident and no one knew anything about this, liars! My neighbor ended up spending over 400 dollars in repairs to her vehicle, this is just one story out of many, and yes my automobile has been vandalized by theives as well. Management should get rid of this security company , and try to start a healing process. P.S. I live in the 400 building and the air was out back in th summer of 2006 and no one was compensated nor any rent adjustments made ,which i think was not kosher

was the car parked in the lot or on the street? Were the suspicious guys in the lot?

What the F*&K were you thinking!? You witnessed an alleged crime on your neighbor's property and you called security!? Here's a tip, if you ever again are eye witness to what you believe to be a crime, call the authorities immediately! The police are the only officials that have the training and jurisdiction to handel a crime in progress!

Also, since you didn't specify, we can only assume that your neighbor's jeep was parked on the street. I'm sorry to inform you that there are hundreds of auto related crimes commited every month on the streets of Detroit. It's not security's fault. Its a social problem that needs to be addressed...

I lived in a brownstone in the 500 building. I personally never had a car vandalized or stolen while living there. I parked all of my cars inside the parking struture on the 4th floor. I instructed all of my guests to do the same.
