STAFF: I agree with the two previous reviews regarding management of this complex. The leasing office staff is great. The building management of this complex is another story, though it seems to be improving. In the past, the property manager (PT) was v-e-r-y slow in responding to complaints, if she bothered to respond at all. The assistant property manager,(PE)is great - a real professional. Poor response from property management has pretty much been alleviated with the introduction late last year of the parent company?s web site. The site enables tenants to place work orders and to also lodge complaints.

MAINTENANCE: The building is kept pretty clean since the website was launched. Previous to that, the upkeep of this building was "shoddy", to be polite; not at all in line with what would be expected given the expense of living here. I applaud Habitat for launching that site. Upkeep of this complex has improved greatly, and the response time of management is now immediate.

COMMUNITY: And what a beautiful complex it is. Imagine sitting in your home looking out at the Detroit River. I never knew there were so many different kinds and colors of ships and freighters. The tenants are pretty friendly in this multi-cultural environment. The community room, which is available for rentals, has a large-screened TV, sofas, commercial restrooms, kitchen facilites. There is also an area right outside of the community room where umbrella tables can be setup, and where there is a gazebo, a pond, and a pier. The complex also has a beautiful indoor pool, an outdoor running track, and a fitness facility.

SUMMARY: It?s not perfect, but it?s a nice place to come home to. Peace !
