Way Too Much for WAY TOO LITTLE

In its heyday, Riverfront may well have been worth its comparatively high rent. While the presence of security may deter an unfamiliar criminal, anyone that comes to visit the building a couple times will easily find that security is only superficial.
In fact, the drycleaners was broken into twice in less than a year. The robbers simply smashed the 9 foot glass wall. No one was caught and the nearest camera by the cleaners was broken and hanging by its wires all the while.
While the high rent may keep out many folks that do not value thier homes, it does not keep out enough. The parking lot is often strewn with fast food bags, beer bottles, cigarette butts, dirty diapers and other trash that you would find in any "hood" tenament. On some floors, uncaring neighbors litter the floor with candy wrappers and forget that the trash shoots work.
As for the hallways and elevators--there is NEVER a working air conditioner--NEVER!
During the year and a half I lived there, the restaurant had two owners and overall ickky food. For the past four months, there has been no restaurant and no video store.
The gym equipment is shoddy and third rate and not worth the monthly fee--most "upscale" apartments have free gyms anyway.
I would only move here if you like a gret view--but, then again, this is not the ONLY apartment building on the Detroit River--I would suggest looking eleswhere.
