I lived here 3 months and I had a horrible experience. No assigned parking spaces means if you work late, you don't park close. This complex has section 8 classification which is similar to low income housing without being classified low income. I had one of the few market-rate apartments and I do not feel like I got my money's worth. The walls are paper thin and I could hear my neighbors screaming at each other and their kids at all hours of the day/night. I had another tenant follow me to my door and harrass me twice. The bugs are out of control! I believe there are holes in the foundation, but I'm not a construction expert by any means. The complex is built by a swamp, but so is most of Michigan, and other places don't have that much of an issue with bugs. The sprinkler system is out of whack. Many of the heads are bent or broken and they end up flooding small areas instead of watering the lawn. I couldn't have my living room window open because water sprayed in when they were running. My apartment was broken into and my computer was stolen. All the thief had to do was kick at the window and the lock broke. The glass in the window remained whole. Rumor has it that this is not the first break-in to occur and that there is a drug problem in the complex. The police told me they do at least two drive-throughs a day in the complex.

I fear for my safety and I have broken my lease. The complex is under new management, but this happens often. I'm not sure the problems can be fixed no matter who is managing.
