I have really enjoyed living here because the staff are very nice and helpful (they are willing to drop off and pick up the community vacuum when I am too busy at school to do it during office hours). Just be polite and show you appreciate them (it should be obvious, but perhaps it isn't to some people). It isn?t classy by any stretch of the imagination, but it?s reasonably quiet (except some weekends; but I am overly sensitive about rude, noisy neighbors), and my priority was being close to campus. Ideal if you go to the veterinary school (I ride my bike and save hundreds on parking fees). Rent seems outrageous, but I think it?s slightly below average for the location; the nearby apartments cost even more--they are nicer though, so you get what you pay for. Brand new exercise room is pretty nice. Water bills seem a bit high; the water company charges some extraneous "billing fee" that is usually as much as the bill ($15-$20 total), but electric bills (in response to another posting) are fine; for a studio apartment I pay about $25-30/month in the winter and half that in the summer (but I use a fan instead of air conditioning). I get several TV channels with just an antennae, not paying for cable; don't know about Internet but I have a cell phone instead of a land line. The studio is tiny, but I was looking for the cheapest solo apartment I could find on the east side of campus. Overall, I've been very happy with it.
