I would recommend only if you are desperate. The place is really old, and all of the apartments that I have been in smell kind of musty. There always seems to be a maintainence issue going on, at one point a few months ago water came cascading thru my ceiling and soaked the carpet. They cleaned it up but now there are big water/mildew stains all over several walls. I have frequently seen industial fans in the hallway so I believe that water is a frequent problem.
The heat and hot water is electric and I froze all winter in my studio but still had $60-$80 electric bills. The water is a scam also. You are billed seperatly for water and sewer and one of the companies sends the bill out about a week before it is due and has a $10 late fee (btw that is assesed based on when they recieve it not the postmark date so you have to send it out the day you recieve it to avoid the late fee.
Parking has been ok for me so far, no complaints but I would like to point out that the place is way off Grand River, and it really sucks walking to campus from there.
Overall, I would have to say- stay away!
