Pros:
-Nice leasing staff
(so I have experienced)
-Cheap Rates
(I got a $70 off a month during a promotion)
-Close to Eastern part of campus
(however now that the Hagadorn bridge is torn up getting to campus is a pain)

Cons:
-Horrible maintenance
(took 4 tries to fix my bathroom sink, had to use my kitchen sink for nearly a month)
-Horrible condition
(apartment was given to me filthy, the common areas are filthy, the elevator always has the smell of beer, urine and puke) Trash is thrown off people's balconies all over the ground and in the trees. The "trash tree" was kind of funny though.
-Horrible noise
(The building rattles and literally shakes with hard winds... I am surprised no one else mentioned this. Neighbors are quiet near me, but the rattling of the building was enough to wake me up from a sound sleep.)
-Horrible Security
(locks on entry doors are usually broken or doors are propped open to allow bums or anyone else to come in. I have frequently seen bums around the halls. Also a huge issue: THERE IS NO FIRE ALARM IN THE BUILDING! This is a HUGE safety concern... how on earth can they get away with this' How have they not been sued' They have been "fixing" the fire alarm for over a year now... This is especially bad considering this is a tall building, and it is an older building made which are much more vulnerable to fires. The company should be lucky that no one has been hurt or sued them, especially since the building HAS CAUGHT ON FIRE.

Has anyone ever complain about this apartment complex charging them a fee of $250.00 for canceling your lease that you decided not to lease the apartment from them? Plus they never mentioned of this fee if you decided not to take the apartment. Please is you could email back and let me know if this place has tried to charge you this fee. I was told from the begining that if I didn't sign my lease, the $300 reservation money would not be returned.

Now this place is having a debt collector calling and harass me at my place of employment. The $250.00 is now being called an application fee not a cancelation fee according to the debt collectors. You talk about a place with office staff that don't know how to handle leases or applications for renting appartments. This is a fight they will not win, I will not give them a penny of my money which was never owed to them in the first place.

I've had a few problem with 2900 but I've never had an issue with my application fee.
