This place would be a horrible choice for anyone who actually wants to go to school for academic purposes. Usually you will find vomit to welcome you up the elevator. People urinate in the stairwells and its just a pretty disgusting environment in general. When you come into take a look at the place they show you an apartment on the 6th (model) and the entire 6th floor is completely remodeled but floors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 look like they have been through some type of war in which everyone through thier rotten food into the hallways and onto the walls!

good luck. try haslett, nemoke trails. they were good but the make sure that you understand the way they do thier HEAT bills!

I lived at 2900 Place Apartments when I first arrived to East Lansing, and must say it is by far the WORST place I could ever imagine living! I cannot stress more how abusive this place was, starting with interminable construction noise, for refurbishing that had nothing to do with tenant comfort. Their concern I'm sure had more to do with building code violations, but they always insisted the improvements were meant for our comfort. The place is usually trashed on weekends, and the rooms are marginal at best. You'd think this was a place for graduate students and the like, when in fact it seems to attract a rather transient seedy looking population. The energy costs are exorbitant, and god help you if you have anything needing repair. I had a clogged drain in my shower the entire time I lived there! I felt so badly for the people who ran their management office, because they were in a precarious position, representing owners who could care less about providing good housing. It surprised me how bad this place was, since the landlord was a large property management firm. If you want to be miserable, broke, and distraught, choose 2900 Place... oh yes, the elevators aren't big enough to put any furniture in, so when you move in and out, you will need a number of people to help out. It cost me time and energy I cannot describe while attempting to move. Another issue is the difficulty in bringing groceries to your apartment. Words could never do justice to how horrible 2900 Place Apartments is!!!!!!

I find both of these statements completely false. I never had any problems with the office or with my move out. And as for the cleanliness to the hallways, the maintenance staff was working on them everytime I left for class. It was the drunk jerks making the cleaning a never ending battle that bothered me.

All of the hallways were remodeled recently which could be the explanation for the noise!!
