The local apartment manager is excellent, the maintence crew is excellent, the quiet atmosphere and location a few blocks from campus are excellent, the rent is reasonable, a city park adjoins the property, neighborhood streets with little traffic are very close for walking, lots of birds, tasteful classic chalet architecture, a courtyard with flowers and benches, a cozy clubhouse and outdoor pool--in a word, definitely one of the best apartment complexes in East Lansing. My parents lived there happily for over 15 years. I have recommended the apartment complex to friends. The apartment manager lives on site. She is competent, creative, flexible, very accessible, and will do anything she can to help one of her residents with a problem or a need. The long-time owners are decent human beings as well. They take a personal interest in their tenants and the quality of life at Arbor Forest.
