You could investigate every apartment complex in East Lansing, and I cannot possibly imagine you would find a worse value/price ratio than Crossing Place Apartments. Beware their promises, dorky radio advertisements, or spots in the State News. They give so much money to the State News that the staff there refuses to print letters condemning Crossing Place! I wish I were kidding. You can read the other complaints here, we all agree on the facts: Extremely poor building quality, embarassingly rude and ignorant staff, and terrible policies and rules. Crossing Place shares something else with Enron besides a home office address in Texas: A complete and utter disdain for laws, morals, or basic human decency. Make no mistake... Crossing Place is only concerned with money, YOUR money. It took 2 1/2 months for maintainence to replace A SET OF BROKEN VERTICAL BLINDS, but if you are 1 day late with the rent... your personalized, notarized, and signed eviction notice is waiting when you get home. The entire front office staff has changed more times than I can count, and 95% of them are tenants who only do it to reduce their exorbitant rent. So beware of Crossing Place. Students don't expect much when it comes to off-campus housing, but what Crossing Place does borders on the criminal. Live in the dorms, live in a house with twenty people, live in a dumpster, but don't live in Crossing Place. At least the rats in the dumpster won't charge you rent, unlike this place.
