The entire year I was at Crossing Place apartments, I hated it there. The apartment was given to us in horrible shape- (no cleaning was done, carpets were staind, smoke detectors weren't installed, food in the refrigerator, empty beer bottles on the balcony, hole in the ceiling, etc..) It took two months after we moved in for them to come fix the things that were wrong.

It's a typical college apartment, poor construction and very noisy. Other tenants are not respectful in regards to noise or trash left all over the buildings and the property. These places are only 7-8 years old and they are falling apart. There is also no security. People tried to break in several times and someone keyed my car. I did not feel safe here.

The property manager is very unprofessional and very combative towards tenants. He's not willing to work with people and comes up with random things to charge you for at the most random times. They also say "pet friendly" but they charge you an insane amount for an un-refundable security deposit and then a monthly fee on top of it.

To top things off, the company wrote me a check for the remainder of my security deposit, then they closed the account. So they wrote me a bad check and I was charged a returned check fee on top of it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

For $50 more you can go live at the Village which has much better amenities AND a friendly staff.
